We defend real music. W.O.M.D. is a zine, micro-label and live battalion fighting for guitars, vinyl, DIY venues and human sweat against algorithmic pop, fake streams and soulless playback. Turn it up. This is your ammunition.

Weapon of Musical Defence started in a Camden basement in 2009 as a photocopied zine. Today it is a full defence system: magazine, label, booking cell and vinyl pressing fund.

When the industry told guitars were dead, we bought more amplifiers. When venues closed, we played in squats, boats, rooftops and laundrettes. Weapon of Musical Defence (W.O.M.D.) exists for one reason: to keep music dangerous, loud and human.
We publish unfiltered reviews, press 7” vinyl for bands no major will touch, run workshops for kids to learn drums, bass and screen-printing, and document the last independent venues of the UK, US and Europe. No sponsored content. No payola. No AI bands.

Streaming pays £0.003. A 7” pays rent. We teach pressing, sleeves, distribution — and why holding music matters. Our pressing plant partners cut 42,000 records for underground bands since 2015.

From 30-cap basements to 2000-cap warehouses. No backing tracks, no VIP barriers. If the PA bleeds, good. If your ears ring tomorrow, even better. That is defence in action.
Ten rules. No exceptions. Print it. Stick it on your amp. Tattoo it if you must.
If it doesn't move air, it isn't live. We fight volume limits, curfews and soulless silent discos.
Mime is fraud. If you press play, refund the crowd. Real mistakes beat fake perfection.
Openers are not exposure. Same catering, same respect, fair split. Always.
Algorithms forget. Sleeves remain. Buy direct from bands, not from data farms.
If a 14-year-old can't get in, it's not underground. It's a business lounge.
Every closed venue is a lost bunker. Petition, fundraise, occupy. Noise complaints? Negotiate, don't surrender.
